Our Products

Only industry recognised, professional theatrical face and body paint products are used, cosmetic grade glitters, adhesives, sprays, wipes, and sponges designed specially for the face and body. Face paints can be removed with baby wipes, or water and mild soap. We use brands such as Paradise AQ, Wolfe Brothers, Ben Nye, Mehron, Kryolan and Silly Farm.

Our Practices
Highest standards of practice and hygiene are adhered to based on the code of practice recommended by the UK FACE association for Face Painters. with no additives or antiseptics added to water, 1 sponge per client, water changed after each design and dirty faces wiped before painting. All brushes and supplies are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between bookings.

Please note due to hygiene no faces/body showing any signs of open wounds, rash, or infections are painted; other areas more suitable will be painted instead.
Small children under 2 1/2 generally don't tolerate face painting or sitting very still. Where this is the case only small quick designs will be painted on the face/hands so that face painting will be a positive experience. Stencils are used for fast and dramatic effect for our little ones. For the same reasons, children who are upset, crying or very anxious will not be painted regardless of age or caregivers insistence.

Time

We arrive between 10 - 30 minutes (depending on the requirements) before your event to set up. If you have difficulty working out how long you may need us, based on the times given per application on our services page, just contact us with the details of how many attendees and what services you would like to have at your event. ( Please keep in mind these times quoted do not take into account wiggly children, choosing designs, cleaning dirty faces and equipment between applications; we are quick but there is time needed for these ).

Requirements for services

Face Body Painters ideally need a roof, such as a gazebo, shelter or shaded area if outdoors. If the weather turns bad you need to have a back up plan ready. Wind, direct sun can affect the speed with which the work can be done. The paints are also affected by weather, and time taken to catch sponges and items that are being blown off the table is wasted. Unsuitable placement can also affect the time taken to complete your event. Whether indoors or out face painters need their space; large crowded or traffic areas need to have a specific area set aside for set-up and work.

A small table ( card table) is required plus 2 sturdy chairs for face painting.( 1 painter) if you don’t have these we can bring our own on request.


Costumes and Supplies
We can come dressed in costume if required, Fairy, Butterfly, Princess, Pirate, Clown, Bright and Cheerful, Tiger, Christmas, Black and White, Corporate or smart black outfits.


Additional face painters and trainees
Extra Face Painters and Trainee Face Painters may also be supplied on request. Only our regularly trusted and experienced contractors who adhere to our practices and standards are used.
